Summer is the perfect time to make new memories with family and friends while visiting Savanna, Illinois. Located along the beautiful mighty Mississippi River just 30 minutes south of Galena, Savanna hosts a multitude of outdoor recreation and family fun activities.
Bring your boat or canoe and hit the water for a day of fishing and relaxing on the river. Pack a picnic and a Frisbee and visit Old Mill Park or the Mississippi Palisades State Park. Hop on your bike and roll through lush forests with scenic river overlooks along the Great River Hike and Bike Trail. Grab your wallet and hit one or our antique shops or visit June 29-30 for our city wide garage sales.
If you would rather walk (or ride) on the wild side then bring your Hog and join the fun at Poopy's Pub & Grub or the Ironhorse. Both establishments cater to motorcycle riders and provide great food, drinks, tattoos, clothing, bike accessories and more.
